Dog Training Services

This program runs for five weeks, with classes held every Wednesday and Thursday at 6:00 PM at House of Dog.

What You and Your Dog Will Learn:

• Teaching your dog proper manners and addressing behavioral issues
• Improving communication and strengthening your bond with your dog
• Encouraging inclusion in more indoor and outdoor activities
• Reducing boredom while providing mental and physical stimulation
• Enhancing your dog's focus and ability to maintain attention on their handler
• Understanding and responding to leash pressure
• Teaching "threshold" training, so your dog recognizes invisible boundaries (e.g., open doors)
• Developing patience and the ability to settle in highly stimulating situations

This 10-class program is held twice a week for five weeks at a cost of $600.

House of Dog will now be offering a 5-week Canine Good Citizen (CGC) training certification.

The price for this training class is $600. This training must be paid in full at time of registration and is nonrefundable. 

 What is CGC? 

The CGC is essentially AKC's temperament test for pet dogs. There are 10 points to a test. 

        1.      Accepting a friendly stranger
        2.      Sit politely for petting
        3.      Appearance and grooming
        4.      Loose leash walking
        5.      Walking through a crowd
        6.      Sit, down, stay
        7.      Come when called
        8.      Reaction to another dog
        9.      Reaction to distraction
        10.     3 minutes out of sight
